Our founder Julius Boehm (1897-1981) was born in Vienna, Austria. His
father was Austrian and his mother Swiss. His Grandfather was a candy
maker and his father was a piano tuner.
In 1924 Julius ran the third leg on Austria's 400-meter relay quartet
in the Paris Olympic Games, and was honored by being selected to run the
Olympic torch en route to Berlin for one kilometer over Austrian terrain
in 1936. |
